We caught up with the gaffer and the match winner, Euan Dryburgh after the game to get their thoughts…
That’s a huge test we’ve come through today. After missing enough chances in the first half to put the game to bed, we find ourselves, for the first time in the league this season, going behind, and deservedly so. Massive credit to the lads though, they kept at it and got 2 quick goals to even it up and Euan’s winner, on his birthday is Roy of the Rovers stuff. While we take the positive of coming from behind and winning the game, we know the performance wasn’t anywhere near good enough. The goals we lost were poor and we need to be more clinical in front of goal.
Really happy to keep our unbeaten league start going. We showed we’ve got the mental strength and character to turn things around after going 2 goals down, plus grabbing the winner myself was a great way to celebrate my birthday.
